Mathew Smith's Cowboy Venison Stew
Cowboy Venison Stew
2 lbs ground venison
2 packages smoked sausage, Cut to choice
Celery (makers choice on qty)
2 cloves minced garlic
2 cups water
1 32oz beef broth
2 packages (10oz) mixed veggies
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp pepper
2 15oz cans pinto beans
4 medium baking potatoes, peeled and diced
2 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 1 /2 tsp. cumin
1/2 tsp thyme
Cook venison until browned, add celery and garlic, cook for 5 minutes. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for about 45 mins. Serve with cornbread or crackers.
