Scent Assassin products make Jeremy Cooper's muzzleloader season in the mountains a success!

Muzzleloader season in the mountains is a special time and this year
was no different. After scouting the area during rifle season, I knew
I needed to be back in that area for late Muzzleloader. I checked my
camera after arriving at camp late that night, hung my sticks and
stand, and got out of there clean. That night a sprayed all of my gear
down with Scent Assassin’s Natural Earth scent and hung it to dry.
The following morning, I woke up and showered with Scent
Assassin shampoo and body wash, sprayed my gear down again,
and hit the road.
The location I was hunting had a pretty stiff crosswind blowing
towards the bedding area. After sitting all morning and seeing
nothing, I had a small buck come through the main trail but when he
got within 50 yards and straight down wind he started acting weird.
I immediately thought, “This is over, he’s winded me.” But no, after
about 10 minutes of him looking and smelling around, I figured out
what his deal was. Straight downwind of him and I was big mature
mountain buck working straight toward us. Once the older buck got
into range, I cocked the hammer and dropped him at 55 yards.
Old deer are hard to go kill but old mountain deer are even
harder. When you do your homework and pair it with great scent
control like the Scent Assassin line of products, you will find
yourself becoming more successful, year in and year out.
